Joshua Lee Nolen, 33, of Denver past away suddenly on Friday, August 11, 2017. He was born in Mecklenburg County. He is the son of Dawn Anderson and the late Jeffrey Lee Nolen, Sr. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his grandparents Bruce and Norlene Lauer and grandmother Linda Nolen and fiancé Courtney Jeffares.
Joshua was a member of the Sons of Confederacy. He was a wonderful caring person and was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Dawn Anderson and step-dad, Warren Anderson of Denver, NC; brothers Camden and Jeffrey Nolen Jr. and step-brother Aaron Nolen; Grandfather Norman Nolen and numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 19th from 11:00 AM – 12 Noon at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home 3362 North Highway 16, Denver, NC. In lieu of flowers, please make donation in Joshua’s Memory to the American Heart Association or Cystic Fibrosis.

I am so very sorry to hear the sad news about Josh. Josh was a kind hearted young man. He loved God and he loved his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
My dear neice & Godchild Dawn Marie & Camden & Jeffrey, Our hearts go out to all of you in the loss of Joshua. He was such a handsome young man. Now, he is with Courtney, Grammy & Grumpy (Norlene & Bruce Lauer). We DON;T know enough about “LIFE” to be sad about “DEATH!” Joshua is in a much better place than we are!
