Margaret Louise (Grubb) Hopkins 82 of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully, June 05, 2020. Margaret was born July 07, 1937 in Bluefield, VA to the late William and Alice Carrie (Sparks) Grubb.
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Robert (Bob) George Hopkins Sr. Margaret is survived by, three sons Jerry Allen Hopkins (Valerie) of Denver, Robert George Hopkins, Jr. (Melinda) of Charlotte, Michael Lee Hopkins (Debbie) of Denver, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who never met a stranger. Margaret and Bob raised a family of three boys and traveled the country during Bob’s 24 years with the US Army. The family settled in the Charlotte area where they owned and operated restaurants for over 20 years.
A grave side service will be held Thursday, June 11 at 11am at Forest Lawn Cemetery 2858 E. Highway 150, Lincolnton, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Hospice of Lake Norman.
