Joyce Pasco Golden

Joyce Pasco Golden born Oct 9, 1948 had gained her wings on Oct 27, 2024.

Born in NYC to parents Lawrence and Stella Pasco (deceased). Joyce lived her first 6 years in NYC then moving with her brother, Jerry Pasco, to Passaic, New Jersey. Joyce attended catholic school from grades K-12 and graduated in 1966.  Went onto study at Secretarial School. Her beginning career prior to her most important role, a Mother, included working for NJ Bank & Trust in Passaic, Hoffmann La Roche first in Engineering and then as an Executive Secretary in Sales.

Joyce met the love of her life, Bill Golden, in 1969 at Joey’s in Clifton and wed September 6th,1970 in Passaic, NJ at St. Nicholas. Joyce and Bill moved to Wayne, NJ in 1970.

She left Roche in 1974 to give birth to their first born, Jeff Golden. In 1980 they gave birth to their second child, Stephanie Golden Putala and in1983 welcomed their last gift, Michelle Golden Foley.

In 1985, Joyce returned to the working world as a Sales Representative and Makeup Artist for Lancôme. In 1987, Joyce and husband Bill started a Mechanical Contracting Company, Golden Mechanical, where she was a VP and Office Manager.

Joyce retired along with Bill in 2007. They enjoyed being snowbirds in Florida, as long as health allowed.

Joyce and Bill left Wayne (their home for 52 years) to move to Denver, NC in 2022 where she went home to Jesus while at home.

Joyce is survived by her husband Bill Golden and children Jeff Golden, Stephanie (Golden) Putala and Michelle (Golden) Foley. Her “other” children: daughter in law- Sooz Golden, son in law- Joseph Putala and son in law- Kyle Foley. Her brother-Jerry Pasco and sister in law- Lynn Pasco. Grandchildren- Andrew Golden, Alex Golden, Lily Putala, Ben Putala. Jack Foley and Stella Foley.

Joyce loved her family and friends unconditionally, which included her love for her dogs where she treated them as her furry children. Joyce always led with heart first and valued truth and honesty above all else. Joyce was so proud of her children and grandchildren and loved to share that with anyone who would listen. She cherished family time and hosted many Thanksgivings at their home in Wayne, which was her favorite holiday. Being together was her favorite time and was often cited in saying “I love sitting back and watching my kids and grandkids have fun together”.

All that knew Joyce loved Joyce. Some even giving her the nickname “Joy” because that is what she was- joyful. Even during difficult times she carried on with a smile. Her strength was immense and all around her couldn’t help but be in awe of it. She endured a lot during her time here and we know she rests now in peace. Her angelic spirit will live on in each of us, until we are together again.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov 9th from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Our Lady of Consolation Church 1799 Hamburg Turnpike Wayne, NJ 07470. The link for the church is: Our Lady of Consolation Website

Mrs. G. I will always cherish my childhood memories of always being at your home. I loved spending time at your house, it was like a 2nd home. You were always so loving & warm towards me, even when you got mad at us for doing something stupid. You will be missed. Sending love and strength to the entire Golden family. Xo

Having Joyce as my best friend for 50 years has been an honor! She was kind, caring and always there to help!
We had so many fun and happy times together! It was with a heavy heart and unmeasurable sorrow I had to say
Farewell to my sweet Joyce! I feel so blessed to have been with her and her loving family and having the opportunity
To hold her hand, kiss her forehead and tell her how very much I loved her and will never stop loving and missing her!
    MEMORY ETERNAL
