David Morley Roberts, 73, of Denver, NC passed away on February 14, 2025. Born on August 16, 1951 in Montgomery County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Morley and Marjorie Stafford Roberts.
David grew up in Beaver Creek, Ohio, later graduating from both Bowling Green University in Ohio and Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
He had a successful banking career at First National Bank of Chicago, and later was Senior Vice President at Wachovia in Charlotte, NC.
In retirement, he enjoyed a beautiful lakefront property with his wife Pamela and loved sitting outside watching birds and wildlife. An avid sports fan, David passionately cheered on the Carolina Panthers, Clemson Tigers, Appalachian State Mountaineers, and Atlanta Braves. One of his great joys was traveling to football games, baseball games, and NASCAR races with his children.
David is survived by his wife, Pamela Roberts, sister Kathleen Wade, her husband James Wade, sister Jane McDaniel, daughter Susanna Oliver, and son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Laurel Roberts.
Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Mintz.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver, NC, where David and Pamela have been longtime members.
