Deborah Geneva Harris Hunt, 46, passed away on June 28, 2024, after a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Greensboro, Alabama, the daughter of Marvin Lewis Harris and Janice Jackson Harris.
Geneva is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jeremy Bryan Hunt, and their son, Harrison Lee Hunt. Both were the bright lights in her life.
Geneva is also survived by her mother, Janice J. Harris; brother, Johnathan L. Harris; sister, Mandy Smith; brother-in-law, Dan Smith; niece, Molly Smith; her grandmother Geneva C. Harris; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin L. Harris.
Geneva graduated from Ashbrook High School and then attended Appalachian State University where she received a Master’s degree in accounting. She was an enthusiastic fan at Harrison’s numerous sporting activities and at ASU Mountaineers’ football games. She loved traveling the world.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, at Christ Church, 3415 Union Road, Gastonia, NC.
