Debra Olivares Harrington, 67, passed away on September 4, 2024 at Atrium Health – Lincoln Hospital in Lincolnton. Debra was born on November 3, 1956 in Danville, Virginia,
She was a graduate of West Mech High School Charlotte – Class of 1975.
Debra worked most of her career in home building, property management and real estate. She retired as Office Manager for Allen Tate Realtor Office in Mooresville, NC. Debbi loved her friends of over 40 years, ‘The Girls’ and her furry friends, pet cats, Inky and Jessie.
Debra was preceded in death by her grandparents Ada and Lee Hubbard; sister Sandy Hopkins Shortt; brother Jim Hopkins; brother Bobby Olivares
Debra is survived by her husband, Michael Harrington; mother Katharine Hubbard Gilbert; brothers Ron Hopkins and Don Hopkins; niece Angie Shortt McCann; nephew Chad Shortt; aunt June Lindsey; cousin Jerry Lindsey; sister-in-law Marsha Olivares; niece Staci Addis and brother-in-law Drew Harrington.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home 3362 (Business) North Highway 16 Denver, NC 28037. Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Pastor Eric Lane of Salem United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Denver Community Cemetery.
