It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we share the sudden passing of Joshua David Booth, 38 on Thursday, March 30th. He was the loving husband of Elysha and devoted father of Caleb (9), Samuel (7).
Josh is survived by his father Thomas Booth, mother Diane Houle, step-mother Karen Booth and six siblings: Jenny and husband Ed, Ben and wife Viennia, Matt and wife Melissa, Jake and wife Jenna, Nate and fiancé Kate, Katie and husband Tony. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many many friends.
Josh was happiest with his family hiking in the mountains, camping in the woods, or going to see his favorite band play in concert.
Josh proudly served in the US Navy as an Electrician’s Mate, Petty Officer Second Class aboard the USS Carl Vinson. He was employed by Miller Electric Company, part of the IBEW 379 Charlotte, NC, where he distinguished himself as a lead journeyman electrician.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 2-4PM at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home at 3362 North Hwy 16, Denver, NC. A service will be held at 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe page (https://gofund.me/c35d9e87) to help with critical expenses at this time.
Elysha and family, we are so so sorry for your loss. I was never lucky enough to meet Josh, but knew he was a very loving man knowing Elysha and the boys. Please let us know if you need anything in the coming days, weeks or months. Many prayers and love sent to your sweet family.
Elysha, Paul and I are so sorry to hear of Josh’s passing and your loss. Our love and prayers go out to you, Caleb, Sam and all of his and your family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Always here for you and your family prayers
Elijah… I lived across the street from your husband and his family on the Cape and knew them all. My heart breaks to hear of Josh’s passing. I lost my son Travis, who was the same age as Katie booth, 12 years ago. It is so sad for me to see children that I know dying early… I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers… Much love, Lauren Johnson Lavender.
