Louis Victor Forgione 90, of Charlotte, NC formerly of Long Island, NY passed away on September 3, 2024. Born on February 14, 1934, in Copiague, NY., he was the son of the late Anthony T. and Edith Bergaglio Forgione.
Louis served proudly in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Corporal. He was a carpenter by profession.
Besides his parents, he was preceded by his wife Stephanie Forgione; his son Anthony Forgione and his former wife Irene Rodriguez.
Louis is survived by his children Jay Forgione (Lynn), Cheryl Forgione, Joanne Forgione-Salata (John); grandchildren Nicole, Kristen and Raymond (Kendall) ; great grandchildren Lily, Lucy, Antonia, Reese and Noah Louis; sisters Rose Fellows (George) and Joanne (Paige Wurts).
Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at The Good Samaritan Funeral Home 3362 (Business) North Highway 16 Denver, NC. 28037. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard and the North Carolina Patriot Guard at 2:00 PM. A Catholic Prayer Service will be celebrated following Military Honors at 2:15 PM. Rev, Carmen V. Malacari will be the Celebrant.
Interment will take place at a later date at Trinity Catholic Cemetery Amityville, New York.
