Marilyn Schuman Keller, 80, of Denver, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born on May 22, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Sullivan Schuman.On August 22, 1953, Marilyn married the love of her life, Robert J. Keller.Marilyn became a homemaker taking care of her family.
In 1982, Marilyn completed her training and received her certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). She was a life-time member of the East Lincoln Rescue Squad. She served as Chief and later Treasurer/Board of Directors.Marilyn was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Denver. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society
Besides her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sister Shirley Hines and brother, Gene Schuman.
Marilyn is survived by her sons Robert Jay Keller and his wife, Lou Ann, Steven Joseph Keller, Michael John Keller and his wife, Jaime; grandchildren Christi Masters, Rob Keller,Steven Keller II, Cameron Keller; great granddaughter Elsa; brothers, Bobby Schuman of Crystal River, Florida, Edward Schuman of Phoenix, Arizona, Ronald Schuman of Bright, Indiana., and sister Marlene Grefer of Boise, Idaho.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Marilyn at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 537 North Highway 16 Denver, NC 28037.The Committal Rite will take place on Thursday 1:30 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery Lincolnton.
