Sabrina Catlin

Sabrina Catlin was born in Deansboro, Marshall, Oneida, NY to the late Robert Howard Catlin and Leona Catherine Hinman. She grew up in upstate New York and later married Sharon Green Catlin, She had one adopted child. Sabrina was the youngest of four children.

Sabrina affectionately known to many as “Bree” attended Sacred Souls United Church of Christ in Charlotte NC under the leadership of Bishop Tonyia M. Rawls. Bree always entered the doors of the church with her beautiful smile that was contagious and she was loved by all. She will be truly missed. A faithful and spiritual person, Sabrina attended church regularly. 

She was in the United States Air Force where she made the rank of Sergeant before leaving honorably. Always helping other people, she was a Trauma Counselor for children before she passed. In her free time she would love to go Spyder riding through the NC mountains. She passed away peacefully at the age of 65 at her home in Lincolnton, NC.

Sabrina is survived by her former wife, Sharon Green Catlin; daughter, Clarabelle Catlin; siblings, Robert (Sharon) Catlin, Ross Catlin, the late Carol Catlin, and the late Ginny (Joe) Hoard; and cousins, Melissa (Shawn) McNaughton, Jason (Mary) Catlin, Kelly (Nicole) Shobe, Kathy Hoard, Gail (David) Kennett, and Karen (Luca) Ruggiero.

Sabrina’s greatest joys were motherhood and nurturing those in her community, extending a helping hand whenever needed.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 14,2024 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Sacred Souls UCC Church; 2127 Eastway Drive Charlotte, North Carolina 28205. Following the visitation, there will be time for fellowship at Bree’s favorite restaurant McAllister Deli; 2706 W Mallard Creek Church Rd. Charlotte, NC 28262. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Monday July 15, 2024 at 11:00am at Sacred Souls UCC Church. Bishop Tonyia Rawis will be officiating. Sabrina will be laid to rest following the service at Salisbury National Cemetery at 2:00pm. Military Honors will be rendered by the the United States Air Force.
